Swampy Pond in Brighton, MI Finds New Direction to Run

The recent heavy rains in Livingston County, MI created a bit of an ordeal for a 20 ft culvert and pipe situated within a swampy pond located in Brighton. The rising waters caused the area become washed out. The power of the water carved its own path that headed towards a stream further down the way where it could merge into. If not properly controlled and redirected, the wild waters could have potentially set off a chain reaction of problems causing more damage along its route. Seaside Seawall was called in to assess the issue and devise a plan to restore the running water to a more manageable stage.

Our team of experts came up with a brilliant plan to restore symmetry to the area and fix the problem. We installed a 4′ steel retaining wall to dam it; then a 24” culvert was welded and installed to assist the water to run through a more appropriate route to empty into the stream.

Don’t just think seawalls when you hear the name of Seaside Seawall. Our team of professionals can offer many services besides installing and repairing seawalls. Check out our home page and learn how we can help make some of your homeowner dreams come true.
